After searching the net and with Anne’s assistance, I have now been accepted into an e-learning community.
This is the first time for me (an virgin of some sort you could say) as I don’t even belong to FaceBook or My Space or any of that stuff (shock! horror!).
So I have joined the Lonley Planet Thorn Tree Travel Forum http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/login.jspa. My husband and I did some travelling last year and are off again this year so being part of this community will definately be fun and worthwhile!
Really looking forward to it - I have noticed though that it is addictive and need to stop getting caught by my boss…

Well, I actully found this chapter quite interesting. It was easy to read and also easy to relate to.

Wow… I think I am on a roll. I have written and published two pages today. Quite an effective way of contributing to the class and working through the readings!

So this is my first ever blog - very exciting!
Trying to keep up with the readings - I really enjoyed the Horizon reports in particular. Technology is so dynamic and changing so fast, so it was interesting to see the difference in technologies and e-trends from 2007 - 2008. Obviously social networking is a biggie - just look at Facebook. It was predicted in 2007 as being part of the first adoption (mainstrea within a year) and they were right!
